There was an article in the Saturday DesNews (front page of the "Utah" section and a picture on page two) of parents and kids at the airport.
If you have the itinerary, it lists how long the flights were. Since it's Sunday afternoon in SL, I think they're on trains now. They should have landed in Delhi about 11 am our time. They are about 12 hours ahead of us. They lost Nov. 17th when they crossed the dateline.
Hello Everyone, This is JoDee Baird. I am on a computer of someone in India. It is very slow. We are having an amazing adventure. Your kids are awesome. They have seen more poverty and more joy than they can wrap the heads around. The children of India are so excited to see your teens. The connect and bond with them so quickly. The children of India sing them songs and we sings songs. The language barrier dissapears. Your teens are physically and emotionally spent every night. They hit the pillow and they are asleep. Everyones is healthy and happy. A little homesickness with a few kids, but it doesn't last long. Eli said he felt like he was on a really bad low budget movie set and that he thinks any minute Steven Spielberg in going to say, "cut" and the poverty and filth with dissapear and the actors will put on their clean clothes and drink soda. It is all very surreal. Thanks for sharing your teens. They are making a huge impact in the orphanages and in the village.
